About the Author:
Sands Hetherington credits his son John for being his principal motivator. Sands raised his son as a single parent from the time John was six. He read to him every night during those formative years. He and young John developed the Crosley crocodile character in the series during months of bedtime story give-and-take. Sands majored in history at the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill) and has an M.F.A. in creative writing and an M.A. in English from UNC-Greensboro. He lives in Greensboro.

Review: (Review is by my 9 year old son who read the book)
My favourite character is Crosley because he is funny. My favourite part was when Crosley and John went up in the sky looking for the bus. I think it was funny when John and Crosley threw yogurt on the lizards on the motor bikes. When Crosley got stuck in the bus I thought it was scary because Crosley is allergic to water. I like the illustrations. I am looking forward to reading the next book. I would recommend this book and give it a 5 stars!
