Book Summary:
Despite my slutty reputation, I was technically a virgin at eighteen—though that tosser Alex sure shot hard and reached long. The faint positive on the budget pregnancy test sent me spinning, moments before I was supposed to meet my snooty sister's new fiancĂ©.
Shaking hands with upper-crusty James was like downing a triple shot of vodka. Dizzy with desire, confused by my body's reaction, and shocked by the possessiveness flashing in his eyes, I deceived him that night and told the world at their wedding reception.
The truth?
I slept with my sister's fiancé. Hot and sweaty, all night long in a room so dark he couldn't tell I wasn't her.
The lie?
Said fiancé is the father of my child. The one I signed over my rights to just before he was born.
That was seven years ago.
It's time to come clean.

Review:
This is the first book that Elise Alden has published that I know of but it didn't feel like a first piece of work. I thought the storyline was really different so it made it a refreshing read from the your typical girl meets boy kind of book. This book had me on a roller coaster of emotions throughout, it roped me in, it had me hating, then wondering what would happen next happen between Paisley and James. Would Paisley grow up and would James see Paisley's true feelings and his own. One thing I didn't like was the jump near the beginning of the book where it skips through 7 years. I felt a little lost at first and also some of the back history of the characters were a little confusing at first. I really did love the tension between Paisley and James as it felt really real in the hate/love way it was being portrayed. I was very happy with the ending, I wont say anything more than that so I don't give anything away. I look forward to reading more from Elise Alden in the future.
I give this book a 3.5 out of 5 stars.
