Review: I Will Not Read This Book by Cece Meng

Over the holidays we reviewed a bunch of children's book compliments to Thomas Allen & Son Ltd. We love books in my house and really enjoyed checking out all the new books. Over the next few weeks I will be sharing the books that we read.

Today I want to tell you about a cute book that we decided my daughter would love as it just seems like something she would say and she is only 4 years old. I Will NOT READ This BOOK by Cece Meng, illustrated by Joy Ang

What is this book about? A little boy who does not want to read a book because he thinks reading is hard and he is slow and there are sometimes words he doesn't know. He has every excuse possible before reading the book. Until someone will read with him.

My daughter is like that when it comes to bedtime and we go through all the excuses like - I have to pee, I need a drink, I need baby etc etc. We really laughed while reading all the excuses this little boy comes up with for why he can't be made to read this book. It is a recommended read for sure.
