We just recently made a tasty Holiday treat with some Orville Redenbacher Smart Pop popcorn. This tasty treat was super quick and easy to make and I had a couple helpers. My bars for some reason didn't stay together but it did make a great snack either way. Let me know if you try it and how everyone likes it!
Cranberry Almond Popcorn Bars
Prep Time: 35 minutes
Total: 1 hour 35 minutes
Makes: 40 servings (1 bar each)
Ingredients
PAM Original Cooking Spray
1 bag (99 g each) Orville Redenbacher’s Gourmet Butter Microwave Popcorn (you can substitute with one bag of 80 g, if you would like)
2/3 cup (155 ml) honey
½ cup (118 ml) almond butter
1 cup (120 g) dried cranberries
Directions
1. Lightly spray a 13x9 inch baking dish with cooking spray; set aside. Prepare popcorn according to package directions. Remove all unpopped kernels; place popcorn in large bowl.
2. Place honey and almond butter in a 2.5 - quart microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH 2 minutes or until honey mixture is hot and bubbly. Pour over popcorn and toss gently to coat evenly. Add cranberries; gently combine.
3. Press popcorn mixture into baking dish. Cool completely to room temperature. Cut into 40 bite-sized bars.
