Now that we are into August and the nights are cooler, Summer isn't gone yet! I know, I know, walking through the mall and all you see are the Fall clothes that are out, another sign school is around the corner and with that comes Fall. We still have a couple more weeks of summer to go!
Why not enjoy them with camping, picnicking, swimming and being outdoors? We plan on doing just that. We still have a couple more weekends to enjoy our swimming and camping and Coleman has the right equipment that we will need for that time.
Want a place to chat with Coleman about their products? Join Coleman Canada's Facebook page and start talking. It is a great place to also talk about camping with other campers and swimmers. We love hearing about all the Coleman news there also!
Have you ever been camping and wanted to grab something out of the cooler at night. It's all about remember what the item feels like. Coleman has made seeing in the cooler at night so much easier with the Auto-on Cooler Light. This little light is powered by three AAA batteries and uses 37 Lumens to light up your space. It doesn't just need to be a cooler, it can be a tool box or a closet, any small dark space you may want a light with an automatic sensor. You can find these at Zellers, Sears and Canadian Tire $19.99 on sale this week at CT $13.99!
Another way Coleman can help light up the night is with their Mini Quad Lantern. This little light is very mighty! I love it. I also love the fact that the lights can be removed for "single" lights in case someone needs to move away from the group or you just want to carry a small light that is still very bright. This lantern features four little "pods" that are removable. The lantern can light up your night for 25 hours. Each pod lights for 12 hours. Please check out my review and how we enjoy it. Available at Canadian Tire $39.99.
My favourite summer item this year has been the Stearn Puddle Jumpers! They have been just what my kids needed to overcome that swimming fear and also put my mind at ease when the kids are swimming. Check out my past review on how my children and I LOVE theirs. Puddle jumpers are for children 30-50lbs and are great to help children keep their upper body higher in the water. Available at Canadian Tire $29.99.
Win it!
Coleman likes to enjoy the great outdoors even if it coming to the end of summer. There is still plenty of time to spend camping into the fall. With that in mind, Coleman has a great giveaway to offer to Two (2) lucky Canadian Coupon Mom readers! Hello,
ReplyDeleteI follow you on facebook and your blog as well.
My favourite camping memory was when my grandpa was still alive and we went to the Rockies with his new trailer and the bears and racoons ate all our food. Even the birthday cake my grandma made me. They felt so horrible so we trecked into two and bought another cake and more food. Turned out to be just as nice but boy was grandma upset.

ReplyDeleteI remember being about 4 years old, fishing off the dock where we were camping. I had a stick, a line a rock for a weight a hook and a bit of hotdog. Caught the biggest trout of the trip! only problem? I'd dropped my line through a hole in the dock. took a bit for my parents to net that fish by leaning way over the side of the dock!

I remember camping in a small trailer when I was young, all cozy with my family of 4 and the dog of course! Lots of wonderful memories, like playing cards and listening to thunderstorms and swimming in Lake Ontario for hours on end.

My favorite camping memory is one time when I was camping with a few friends. The campers next to us had guitars and we all got together and had a big sing along. Other people from around the campground joined in and it was just a super fun party.

My favourite camping memory is going with my friends family when I was 12. My friend was deathly afraid of fish in the river we were camping beside and her family and I had a blast tickling her feet and making her go screaming out of the river!

We went camping at Long Beach, which is up island on Vancouver Island. I was about 12 I think. In those days you could pitch your tent on the beach with the forest at your back.
ReplyDeleteMy mom, brother and sister went for a walk one day and I decided to be a brooding kid and stay behind. I was sitting on a log with my back to the forest when I heard a noise. I turned around and there was a lovely black bear "smiling" at me. So, what did I do? Well, everything you aren't supposed to do. I got up and started running away but tripped on one of the tent ropes and ended up with a mouthful of sand lol Thankfully, my shenanigans scared the bear away or he was just so embarassed for me that he left lol
Thanks

My fave camping memory was a trip we took to Virginia when I was about 6. I woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of my parents' voices discussing something that sounded urgent. Turns out, a flying ant decided to go into my dad's ear, and he was being driven crazy by the pain.. not to mention the movement of a bug in his head. Cracks me up every time. (Oh, and when they removed the flying ant at the hospital.. it was STILL ALIVE.) @HopingForHunter
