ReplyDeleteYes! We stick to a very tight budget!! My best tip to stay on track is to watch your savings accounts grow & save the extra $$ towards a goal for the family! We're saving for summer vacation!

ReplyDeleteI'm following via website. I do follow a budget, very strictly. The more coupons we use, the easier it is to pay the bills.
ReplyDeleteMoney saving tips to help stay on target:
Go through flyers each week, mark off best deals, match with coupons to reduce cost to as low as possible
Always know what you are planning to spend before getting to the checkout, helps avoid crazy impulse buys that can blow a budget.
Never leave the coupons at home, you may miss out on a deal that brings price next to nothing or free, expecially with indoor specials
Watch the grocery aisles for additional coupons for items you will use, take a few but leave some to be courteous to other savers. If there is a large stack, I take no more than ten if it has a great expiry on essentials (cheese and yogurt especially). If there aren't many I usually take only two.
Buy products that will give you additional coupons in return, often for free products. Even better when you can buy that first thing with a coupon. ie. Kellogs cereal right now has awesome free coupons on it and we eat cereal all the time!
Never buy a product you won't use or don't want to try
Make a meal plan for the week and make a grocery list for what you need. Then use the rest of that week's budget to stock up on sales.

Following with GFC! I have a budget and I follow it as closely as I can.
ReplyDeleteMy tips: Check through the flyers every week. Mark everything needed and on sale to be price matched at one location, then you can avoid using up gas to drive around.
Coupons, coupons, coupons! Always bring the coupons along. Check for coupons in store. ALWAYS take the coupons, even if they’re not on sale now, just wait! As long as the coupons don’t expire soon.
Most of all, do not give in to impulse buying!!!
